This charming hotel sits on the volcanic Reykjanes Peninsula just a 20 minute drive from the airport and within walking distance of the Blue Lagoon.

The property features 32 standard guest rooms and 10 deluxe rooms, each with supremely comfortable beds and cosy Icelandic down comforters. The restaurant serves a variety of Nordic-inspired dishes, enjoyed against a backdrop of unique lavascape which is framed by the large picture windows. The hotel also houses its very own Wellness Spa and Fitness Centre featuring the Aurora Float – the ultimate floating relaxation experience.

A stay here is all about incredible views, especially of the northern lights. A 360° observation lounge on the second floor provides a very comfortable place to relax after dinner and watch for the aurora while the hotel offers a wake-up call service, in case they make an appearance while you are asleep. However, please note that there will be some light pollution from the nearby geothermal heat exchange, which provides clean, green energy and the water that feeds the lagoon. You’ll also spot the quite surreal bright plumes of steam too, that pinpoint the location of the nearby Blue Lagoon.

Wellness Spa

Relax and unwind in the Wellness spa in one of three relaxation areas; inside, outside and the Tranquility Space created by Icelandic sculptor Mireya Samper. With a choice of three custom made Tylo Saunas, dry, soft and steam, a Beach Stone Walk foot massage and geothermal hot showers with L’Occitane soaps and shampoos there is something for everyone. Access to the Wellness spa is ISK 2,500 per person per day or complimentary for guests staying in Deluxe rooms (minimum age 16).

Fitness Centre

Access to the Fitness centre is included for all hotel guests over the age of 16. The Fitness Centre Offers a selection of equipment including treadmills and free weights

Aurora Float

A unique opportunity to try and float in weightlessness and experience complete rest. Aurora Floating is a warm flotation tank with about 530 kg of Epsom / Magnesium salt. The combination of water and salt makes you float in total weightlessness, is good for combating stress, softening muscles and can reduce pain and inflammation of the joints, back and neck.
