Hike around the edge of the lava fields at the base of Arenal Volcano before relaxing in geothermally heated waters.
The Arenal nature trails are packed with history and geological curiosities. During your 2-hour guided hike around lava fields created during the 1968 eruption, you’ll learn about the volcano’s tumultuous history, as well as looking out for the resident wildlife. You’ll also be treated to spectacular views (weather permitting!) of the volcano, lake, and Tilaran Mountains looming in the distance. After your hike you’ll be transferred to the beautiful Eco Termales hot springs, where you can relax in four different pools of varying temperatures before drying off for a tasty dinner.
Be the lesser spotted human! Take a relaxed wander through the Osa Peninsula National Park and spot tapirs taking a stroll just a stones throw away and a humpback whale breaching in the distance.
