Explore the rainforest after dark on a fascinating guided nature walk into the Eternal Forest.
The Eternal Forest of Children (Bosque Eterno de los Niños) is Costa Rica’s largest private reserve, managed by a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and rehabilitation of tropical ecosystems. This very special reserve was founded thanks to donations from thousands of school children from over 44 countries, and your visit directly contributes to its continuing work.
You’ll gain a totally different perspective on this secondary forest, which really starts to come alive as night falls. Your guide will lead you on a 1.5 mile trail in search of wildlife. A fascinating and astonishing variety of insects, bats, frogs, toads, and hairy tarantulas start to emerge, filling the air with a unique nocturnal soundtrack.
Be the lesser spotted human! Take a relaxed wander through the Osa Peninsula National Park and spot tapirs taking a stroll just a stones throw away and a humpback whale breaching in the distance.
