Cruise deep into the tranquil inlets of Clayoquot Sound in search of black bears and other wildlife.
From spring to autumn Vancouver Island’s black bears can be seen emerging from the rainforest to forage on the shore for food – the intertidal zone serves up a feast of crab, clams and barnacles.
The best way to observe the bears is from the comfort and safety of a Zodiac boat, which can manoeuvre unobtrusively into shallow bays to allow optimal viewing. During this cruise your knowledgeable guide will explain the behaviour and habits of the bears, and point out other wildlife such as seals, porpoise and bald eagles.
