Damas Island Kayaking, Manuel Antonio

4 hours

Year Round

Overview

The incredible mangrove forests of Damas Island are best explored by kayak.

This dynamic ecosystem of wetlands and swamps is home to some of the most exotic species in the tropics, including reptiles like caimans, crocodiles, iguanas and snakes. You may also encounter sloths, raccoons, and capuchin monkeys, as well as colourful birdlife such as kingfishers and frigate birds. As you paddle your sit-on-top kayak, your guide will point out the wildlife and explain the significance of this biodiverse habitat. Lunch is included before your return to Manuel Antonio.

Be the lesser spotted human! Take a relaxed wander through the Osa Peninsula National Park and spot tapirs taking a stroll just a stones throw away and a humpback whale breaching in the distance.
