Half Day Wine Tour, Blenheim

4 hours

Year Round

Overview

Held by many as New Zealand’s premier wine district, Marlborough’s famous wine valley offers a unique diversity of flavours that is well worth taking the time to explore.

The site where New Zealand’s modern wine industry began, it was here in the late 1970s that Marlborough produced some of the country’s first bottles of Sauvignon blanc, establishing them as a contributor to the world’s wine-industry.

Today, the region represents a little over half of the total vineyard area in the entire country and, while still producing its signature Sauvignon blanc, the region’s Pinot noir and Chardonnay are also featured.

This tour takes you into the heart of this region, sampling the bottles at four or five different venues, where experts in the field will teach you some of the secrets of fine wine appreciation. For guests in Blenheim, a hotel pick up and drop off are included.
