Home Visit (Coffee Mik)

From £52

1.5 hours

Year Round

Overview

A visit to a Greenland home is more than just stopping by for coffee, it is a glimpse at the local culture which has thrived on this northern island for centuries.

You will learn first hand about the unique people who make this island home and how they have survived in this frigid and unforgiving environment.

First populated by the Inuit over a millennium ago and visited by the Norse in the 1100s, the culture on Greenland is like nowhere else on earth.

Experts in northern survival, it is no surprise that early explorers, such as Fridtjof Nansen and Robert Peary chose to learn the art of Arctic survival from these northern peoples. On your visit, you will be served a cup of ‘Coffee-Mik’, a cup of coffee which, by tradition, is served to all visitors.

Please note that this excursion is subject to weather conditions and may require minimum numbers to operate.
