In the summer months, Disko Bay attracts large pods of the incredible humpback whale to its waters, where the animals feel on the capelin, a small herring-like fish that can be found here.
Enjoy a visit to picturesque settlements of Ilimanaq before setting off on a cruise on Disko Bay.
A protected animal, humpback whales have become very trusting in these waters and, naturally curious, they often approach the whale watching ships of their own volition to take a closer look.
Thus, this is an incredible place to enjoy first-class whale watching encounters at close range as a group of these cetaceans circle your vessel, feed undisturbed by your presence, or play together in the chilly waters.
