Take an informative hike through the beautiful cloud forests of the Santa Elena Reserve.
On this scenic nature walk your local guide will lead you through the mists of a fragile cloud forest ecosystem, sharing details about the wildlife that inhabit the reserve. You’ll discover epiphytes, ferns, wild fruit, flowers, lichens and mosses; and learn why these plants are such an important food source. As you hike you may spot insects, reptiles, and amphibians, plus a dazzling array of birds including toucans, bellbirds and the iridescent quetzal. Elusive jaguars and sloths can also be found here, so keep your camera handy.
Be the lesser spotted human! Take a relaxed wander through the Osa Peninsula National Park and spot tapirs taking a stroll just a stones throw away and a humpback whale breaching in the distance.
