Sloth Watching Walk, Arenal

2 hours

Year Round

Overview

The iconic sloth is top of the list for wildlife-spotting in Costa Rica, but they can be notoriously difficult to see as they snooze high in the treetops.

Fortunately your naturalist guide is an expert in locating these captivating creatures and during this easy 2-hour guided walk will point out any sightings, as well as provide insights into their habits and habitat. You’re likely to encounter both the two- and three-toed species around Arenal, lounging amongst the leaves of the guarumo trees.

You’ll also have a good chance of seeing plenty of other wildlife, such as tree-frogs, snakes, toucans and eagles.

Be the lesser spotted human! Take a relaxed wander through the Osa Peninsula National Park and spot tapirs taking a stroll just a stones throw away and a humpback whale breaching in the distance.
