Overview

Whale watching in Alaska is a must, with oceans and fjords lush with feeding cetaceans, making this one of the finest and most scenic places in North America to see these marine giants.

Your whale watching adventure will begin with a transfer from the Juneau cruise ship pier to Auke Bay, where you will board a state-of-the-art jet boat, featuring large windows and outside viewing deck. Humpbacks are common, returning every year to the nutrient-rich waters around Juneau to feed, but the show is not limited to the water.

Seabirds are understandably common and frequently spotted whirling overhead or feeding alongside the area’s whales. Bald eagles are occasionally seen too. An onboard naturalist will be on hand to answer questions and provide plenty of information about the area’s world-famous wildlife. After the cruise, you will be transferred back to the Juneau cruise ship pier.
