Overview

Our collection of short breaks in Norway focus on winter escapes in the far north though they can be easily combined with Norway’s fascinating capital, Oslo. Fun activities, stunning scenery and the lure of the seeing the northern lights come together across all our breaks.

Perhaps choose a cool combo taking in the Arctic city of Tromso with the fjord-side resort of Malangen. You’ll have time to indulge in city sophistication as well as immersing yourself in a countryside retreat.

Bucking the winter theme, perhaps a hike and spa break in the heart of Norway’s fjords sounds appealing. Step out in to the fresh air, relax in spa resort and enjoy time exploring the delightful city of Bergen

Eric in Iceland It’s not just about where you go, but how you experience it. I’m here to turn that trip into an adventure you’ll cherish.

Oslo

In southern Norway, the capital Oslo is uniquely located at the top of Oslofjord, and offers numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, museums, galleries and a variety of shopping possibilities from famous Scandinavian brands to kooky vintage boutiques. The surrounding countryside boasts pine forests, lush farming areas and dramatic highlands.

Bergen

The colourful town of Bergen has proudly gained a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage list for Bryggen, an old Hanseatic wharf. The Fish Market and the funicular railway to Mt Floyen add to Bergen’s long list of attractions. Gateway to the fjords, Bergen is in a gorgeous coastal setting surrounded by steep forested hills.

Alesund

Further north, the unique Art Nouveau town of Alesund is best observed from the high point of Aksla, offering breathtaking views across the city. It’s the starting point for a scenic drive to UNESCO Heritage listed Geirangerfjord.

Tromso

This Arctic city if nicknamed the ‘Paris of the North’ for its stylish shops, restaurants, street cafes and cultural attractions, with the angular Arctic Cathedral is a striking landmark. During winter, this charming city is hotspot for aurora hunters.
