This independent touring holiday provides an opportunity to explore Greenland’s extraordinary and unique scenery as well as being able to learn about how some of the most isolated people in the world have not just lived, but thrived, over many hundreds of years on the edge of world’s largest island. Despite its remote location and frigid reputation, temperatures can get surprisingly warm and this ancient land bursts almost unfathomably into life.
Experience the colourful city of Reykjavik before flying to South Greenland for a stay in the quaint town of Qaqortoq via Narsarsuaq, bordering an area which has recently been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. There is plenty to see; from hikes to the Inland Ice Cap to remains from both the Inuit and Viking settlers that once lived in the area.
