I have always had a passion for culture and travel, and after studying Anthropology at University I have been living and working abroad in Australia, Thailand and Vietnam for the past 4 years. Having this experience has given me the chance to really explore the sights, cultures and cuisines of these diverse countries. Also, I had the opportunity to travel extensively to the countries nearby in my free time including South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. An absolute highlight of this time was living in Sydney – for the sunny days, coastal walks and iconic landmarks.
In other parts of the world my travel highlights have been road tripping through the Rocky Mountains in Canada and inter-railing through Europe.
I really love being in the mountains, so driving through the Rocky Mountains, drinking drip coffee, looking out for bears and watching the spectacular scenery was a dream come true! I am also a huge foodie so also loved the food scene in Canada – especially poutine and Granville Island Public Market.
Our natural world is very important to me, there are so many incredible landscapes and amazing animals so see, appreciate and also protect. I feel so lucky to have had so many amazing wildlife encounters, especially the unique and beautiful wildlife and ecosystems that are native to Canada and Australia. My wildlife highlights have been snorkelling in the Great Barrier and Ningaloo Reefs, spotting bears in Canada, seeing dingoes on K’Gari and the famous dolphins in Monkey Mia.
