Overview

We can offer seats on any airline flying into Iceland and will find you the best price available at the time of booking. However, should you wish to book your own flights, we would be very happy to simply look after your holiday arrangements within Iceland. If you wish to travel on a flight to Iceland from outside the UK we would be delighted to arrange appropriate flights.

Keflavik Airport is Iceland’s international hub, located around 45 mins drive from Reykjavik. The terminal can be busy, especially during the summer months, and we recommend arriving two to three hours prior to flight departure time.

Domestic Flights

Icelandair operate services between the main communities within Iceland; the ‘hub’ is Reykjavik City Airport with regular flights to Akureyri, Isafjordur, Egilsstadir, Grimsey and the Westman Islands (using twin-prop aircraft).   We can also book flights by the airline Eagle Air, from Reykjavik to Hofn, Husavik and the Westman Islands.

Eric in Iceland It’s not just about where you go, but how you experience it. I’m here to turn that trip into an adventure you’ll cherish.

Passport and visa information

Your passport must be valid for 3 months for Iceland and 6 months elsewhere, following your arrival at the foreign destination.

From mid-2025, all British passport holders travelling to the EU and/or Schengen area, for up to 90 days, will be required to hold an EU Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). The ETIAS is valid for up to three years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first, and only one ETIAS per person is required to visit all member countries. If your trip will be longer than 90 days you will require a Schengen Visa.

Online ETIAS applications cost €7 per person and in most cases will be authorised within minutes of applying. Applicants under the age of 18 or over the age of 70 will receive their ETIAS free of charge. Please note that your ETIAS must be confirmed at least 96 hours prior to travel. For more information please visit: https://etias.com/etias-requirements/etias-for-british-citizens

At the time of going to press, no inoculations were required for visitors to Iceland. However it is recommended that you check your tetanus and polio immunisations are up to date.
