Itinerary

On arrival in Calgary, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, meet your fellow travellers and Tour Director at an informal Welcome Reception.

After breakfast depart Calgary for Banff. En route you will stop at the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. This afternoon enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff.

Today is at leisure to explore Banff or take your choice of optional excursions (own expense). Perhaps enjoy a Banff Experience Tour, which includes a visit to Johnston Canyon, or take a thrilling helicopter flight over Banff National Park.

Travel north to beautiful Moraine Lake, located in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. After taking in the views here, continue to the world-famous Lake Louise.

Journey along the spectacular Icefields Parkway, a chain of massive icefields straddling the Continental Divide. At the immense Columbia Icefield you will take a ride in a specially-designed Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier. Continue along the parkway and enjoy vistas of glaciers, lakes and wildlife on your way to Jasper.

Travel to Blue River, where pristine lakes, rivers, waterfalls and wilderness abound. Take an exciting River Safari, cruising through the glacially-fed, jade-coloured waters of Grizzly Bear Valley. Here you may see both grizzly and black bears. Later, enjoy a relaxed dining experience by the river.

Rocky Mountaineer Option: you may wish to board the Rocky Mountaineer train for a memorable 2-day journey from Jasper to Vancouver. Contact us for further details and prices.

Travel to the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Enjoy today at leisure to relax or explore the city at your own pace. You may like to take the opportunity to embark on an optional tour to Vancouver’s famed Granville Island Public Market (own expense). Here, you’ll sample fresh locally-grown produce and wander amid the vibrant stalls that showcase a range of home-made craft and art.

After breakfast travel along the Sea to Sky Highway to the picturesque alpine village of Whistler.

Head to Horseshoe Bay to board the ferry to Vancouver Island. On arrival set off on a sightseeing tour of this charming city before checking in to your hotel.

Today is at leisure – explore at your own pace, or take an optional excursion (own expense). Perhaps set off on an exciting whale watching excursion or ride in a horse-drawn carriage. Later visit the renowned Butchart Gardens where you will have a Farewell Dinner in the former Butchart family residence.

Transfer back to Vancouver after breakfast. 12-day passengers depart the tour with a transfer to the airport. 19-day passengers board a Holland America Line ship for your Alaskan Inside Passage cruise.

Enjoy a full day at sea. Unwind and absorb the incredible scenery as your ship glides along the Inside Passage.

Cruise through the rivers of ice of Tracy Arm. Later, arrive in the Alaskan capital of Juneau, one of America’s most beautiful state capitals. Soak up its native Alaskan influence and perhaps explore Tongass National Forest (own expense).
