Shaded by the spruce trees that line Bartlett Cove, the 56 room Glacier Bay Lodge offers the only hotel accommodation in Glacier Bay National Park. Touched by magnificent sunsets over the Fairweather Mountain range, the lodge is within easy reach of Glacier Bay’s western arm, where the Grand Pacific and Margerie Glaciers calve and sparkle.
The rooms are comfortable and quiet, each with private bath and/or shower. The lodge offers a range of activities, including guided nature hikes and presentations by the park rangers, mountain bike and kayak rental, and cruises into Glacier Bay itself.
Fresh Alaskan seafood is offered in the restaurant, treating diners to Alaska’s famous halibut and salmon. Glacier Bay Lodge is accessible by air from Juneau, Haines or Skagway, and 1- and 2-night packages here include return domestic flights, accommodation and a cruise into Glacier Bay National Park.
