There are also numerous walking trails through the national park, where you may encounter local wildlife such as grey kangaroos and echidnas, or why not get the family together for a game of frisbee golf!

Habitat Noosa sits at the gateway to one of only two Everglades in the world, so don’t miss the chance for a boat trip through this network of winding waterways, tea tree-infused water, and ancient rainforests that are home to a staggering 44% of Australia’s bird species. The world’s largest sand island, K’gari, is also easily accessible on a guided tour from Habitat Noosa.

Sustainability at Habitat Noosa

Once part of a 4,000-acre cattle station, rehabilitation of the site commenced in the 1980s and continues to evolve today. Operating in such an ecologically diverse region demands a firm commitment to environmental sustainability, such as managing wildlife habitats, reducing energy use, minimising waste and conserving water. Key initiatives include the use of solar panels, biodegradable sewage treatment, eco-friendly cleaning products, recycling and waste management. The team at Habitat Noosa also strive to inspire and educate guests in the importance of protecting, preserving and improving the region for future generations.
